Jeroen Suls is opgegroeid in een familie die al drie generaties kunstenaars heeft voortgebracht, kunstenaars voor wie eerlijkheid in de creatie altijd al centraal heeft gestaan. Als kind ontplooide hij al doende zijn talrijke artistieke vaardigheden. Hij is beeldhouwer, ontwerper, fotograaf , .. kortom een merkwaardig en veelzijdig autodidact, die zich in de loop der jaren tot het driedimensionale heeft gericht en evolueert in materie.
Jeroen's beelden zijn vervaardigd uit metaal,waarvan hij met eigen hand en met behulp van bijzondere draadstructuren en vlamboog-lastechnieken vorm geeft. Steeds weer weet hij de kille materie een sterk ontroerende expressie mee te geven. De figuren die hij op die manier tot leven brengt, vallen meteen op door hun eigenzinnige anatomie. Bij een eerste contact doen ze erg menselijk aan en confronteren zij de toeschouwer vooral met zichzelf. Het zijn stuk voor stuk beelden die leiden naar een andere dimensie die elke bezoeker op deze site op zijn eigen wijze ervaart. Na enkele ogenblikken van be- en verwondering bij de kunstliefhebber, komen telkens weer andere facetten naar boven van iets dat wij best kunnen bestempelen als een oerkracht. In zijn creaties confronteert Jeroen Suls elkeen met zijn heel persoonlijke kunstenaars-expressie, die én opvallend én verassend is in haar eenvoud. Als de toeschouwer daarbij uiteindelijk het spoor bijster is, dan pas moet hij verder gaan met zijn zoektocht,want daar juist ligt de essentie van Jeroen's kunst !

Jeroen Suls apertient à une familie comptant déjà trois générations d'artistes, dont les activités ont troujours été orientiées vers l'honnèteté dans la création. Durant son adolescence, c'est dans la pratique de tous les jours qu'l développa sa dextérité arstisque.Jeroen est un artiste qui donne toujours libre cours àson imagination. Il est sculpteur, concepteur, photographe,....bref, un autodidacte remarquable et universel, qui , au cours des années, c' est orienté vers l'art tridimensionnel.
Jeroen ses sculptures sont faites en métal, qu'il travaille de ses propres mains et qu'il dote d'une expression émouvante, en appliquant des techniques particulières de structures filiformes et de soudure à l'arc. Dans chacune de ses pièces d'art, il réussit à doter la matière froide d'une expression emouvante. Les figures ainsi créées se singularisent par leur anatomie bien spécifique: au premier contact, elles semblent humaines et confrontent le spectateur avec lui-mème. Chaque sculpture vous emmène vers une autre dimension, que chaque visiteur éprouvera de manière personnelie. Après quelques moments d'àutres aspects surgiront, des aspects que nous pourrions définer comme émanent d'une force primaire. Dans son oeuvre, Jeroen confronte chacun de nous avec son expression artisique très personnelle, qui est à la fois remarquable et surprenante par sa grande simplicité. C'est au moment où le spectateur se sentira finalemant dérouté, qu'il lui conviendra de continuer sa recherche, car c'est là que réside l'essentiel de l'oeuvre de Jeroen!

Jeroen Suls has grown up in a familiy that already has produced three generations of artists for whom trully creating has always been a central aspiration. As child, he developped his various artistic skills by experience. Jeroen is an artist who alway's gives his imagination free rein. He is sculptor, a designer a photographer,... in a few words, a remarkable and manysided, autodidactic person. As time went by, he turned to the threedimensional.
His sculptures are made of metal ,and other materials now, where the metal sculptures, that he shapes with his own hands, using particular wire structures and arewelding techniques. Each time again, he succeeds in giving the cool matter a very affecting expression. The figures that he so sets up, attract one's attention because of their self-willed anatomy. At the first contact, they seem very human and confront the art loving spectator with himself. Without any expention, they all are sculptures that lead towards another dimension, which each spectator will discover in his very personal way. Afther some moments of pure admiration and astonishmemt, the art lover will detect other facets of what we best can define as a " " primal scream " " . In his creations, Jeroen Suls confronts everyone with his personal artistic expression, that is both striking and surprising in its simplicity. When the art lover gets finally off the track, than he just must go frther on, because it is there that lies the essence of the artist's work from Jeroen !
